Our Story
In 2012, the dream of creating a community theater was born to create a place where individuals could explore and develop their talents affordably. This vision grew stronger over the years, and in January 2017, we officially became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our first productions were performed in the gymnasium of a local church while we searched for a permanent home for Artist Connection Theatre. Artist Connection Theatre is led by Lori Newton. Our founder has five children, four of whom are passionate about the arts. Understanding the cost of nurturing their talents, she created theater workshops for kids and adults, to offer affordable, supportive opportunities for young performers to grow.
Building Our Dream
In July 2019, we signed the lease for a space in the historic Cinema & Draft house in the Gazebo Shopping Center, which had been vacant for 21 years. After extensive renovations and securing occupancy licenses, we proudly opened our doors. Today, we occupy two units, and with our expanding space, we are adding more rehearsal areas and dressing rooms to meet the needs of our growing theater community.
